At least 22 people have died and 28 more were injured after a bus crashed near an Egyptian holiday hotspot.

The fatal incident happened in the south Sinai region of Egypt this morning.

The bus smashed on the Dahab-Nuweibaa highway,around 50 miles north of the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Emergency services dispatched 20 ambulances to the scene,where the wounded were given first aid before being taken to the hospital.
